All the members of GREENevada have been busy coming up with our plan for a great GREENevada event this year. Instead of a competition with prizes as in the past, we’ve got something different in mind this year!
We’re calling it the GREENevada Student Leadership Retreat — a 2-day green leadership extravaganza. It’s scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 22-23, 2013. Friday will be a group volunteer project (garden work or trash clean-up), then all students will travel up to Sierra Nevada Journey‘s Grizzly Creek Ranch campus for an overnight! Saturday will be a day of learning about energy, leadership skills and a challenge high-ropes course on the campus.
We’re really excited about this! Thanks to some great funding support, the cost to students will be very low. Stay tuned for more information in November and December on how students can apply for the retreat.
