Governor’s Points of Light Award Submission Deadline EXTENDED to June 16

Do you know an amazing volunteer, volunteer organization, volunteer manager or corporate volunteer program?
Nevada Volunteers, the Governor’s Commission on Service, is pleased to announce the nomination process for the 2017 Governor’s Points of Light Award ceremony is open. Nevada’s most prestigious volunteer recognition, the Governor’s Points of Light Award, is an opportunity to shine the light on Nevada’s brightest volunteers. Help us tell the story of volunteerism in your community and submit a nomination!

The deadline has been extended! Nominations are accepted until June 16, 2017 (11:59 PM PST)

Nomination categories are:
• Individual – Northern Nevada
• Individual – Southern Nevada
• Individual – Rural Nevada
• Nonprofit/Community Organization Volunteer Program
• Corporate/Business Volunteer Program
• Volunteer Manager
• Volunteer Program serving Veterans

Being recognized at the Governor’s Points of Light event is Nevada’s most prestigious recognition for volunteers, volunteer managers, and volunteer organizations. Past award recipients and finalists cannot be recognized in the same category for 5 years, but are otherwise eligible to be nominated.
