“Plan your outdoor summer!”
Reno, NV – Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation (TMPF), in partnership with Washoe County Parks and Open Space, is hosting the Healthy Parks Healthy People Day on April 8th at the Bartley Ranch Regional Park starting at 9am. This event is free and open to the public.
This family-friendly event will include dozens of games and activities presented by local non-profit organizations and regional land management agencies, a 5K Fun Run/Walk, and a FREE 1K Kids Fun Run! Sign up for the 5K before April 1st to receive a T-shirt, swag bag, and $5 off registration.
The goal is to celebrate regional parks and public lands while promoting the concept that healthy parks and open spaces lead to healthy people. Participating organizations will have experts on-hand to help you and your family plan a summer of outdoor adventures.
This is an opportunity for land managers, non-profits, and outdoor businesses to showcase how they enhance the environment and lives of the greater Reno community. This free event is aimed at inspiring families to recreate outdoors, helping people find new areas and activities to explore, and encouraging all around good health through environmental stewardship and community involvement.
We’re asking land managers, non-profits, and outdoor businesses to join us in the fun! To participate as an organization, contact the information listed below. As a participating organization, please provide an activity for the attendees (mostly kids), information about your mission(s), and help people plan their outdoor summer.
